The New Era

Is the future bleak?

By daring to ask fundamental questions, by seeing the space around you and daring to live with that space, by daring to touch the deepness of life and daring to live with it, by daring to look towards the future and daring to live with that, so much more becomes possible in life.

This doesn’t just happen overnight, you can’t just put yourself in that position from one moment to the next, and this is also not the intention. But just by being busy with these things, by having heard about them and thinking about them, they can find a place amongst other ideas. Over the years you will find that this idea – of infinity, of keeping up with the times, of leaving unimportant things behind – keeps growing stronger within yourself and is teaching you what life is really like.

As you enter into the reality of life you leave your whole past behind.

Because as you enter into the reality of life you leave your whole past behind. Then you say, “I don’t need this anymore, nor that. I can leave this behind, I’ve looked at that, I’ve looked at it from all sides, I know it through and through, I’ve assimilated it and now that I’ve got it I don’t need it any longer.”

The infinity of the moment

The strangeness of life, the paradox, is that suddenly you can see, “My reason for living lies there. My interest lies there where I can feel I am living now, where I can see a future, an infinite future.” I use a serious word here to make you aware of the fact infinity is a reality and has a real purpose and that this reality which is infinity can take its place in your life at this moment.

Today you can live infinitely. You can detect infinity in the flower in front of you, you can recognize the hand of divinity therein. You don’t need a great deal of fantasy to see the Divine is present all around you. This is the infinity of the moment.

This reality which is infinity can take its place in your life at this moment. Today you can live infinitely.

You don’t have to look to the very distant future, the very distant space, to be able to see infinity. You can see it in everything, in each leaf of every tree, in each feather of every bird, in each single hair upon your head, in each pebble on your path. You can see infinity in all these things and if you can make this connection in your life, then you know so much more than someone who isn’t able to see this, who can’t feel this and can’t understand this.

Understanding comes from life itself. It appears like a flash, a spark set off by the clash of ideas, by the collision of people, by infinity that presents itself and is suddenly different from what people think it to be.

You can see infinity in everything, in each leaf of every tree, in each feather of every bird, in each single hair upon your head, in each pebble on your path.

Thoughts about the past and future are full of dust

More often than not, the intellect knows too much. The mind thinks much too much. Yet when we develop and use this instrument we then have a ladder to bring us up to a forgotten level, a very dusty place, but one where there is a window looking out to openness, to space, to the deepness of life.

Sometimes there is a need for us to explore the attic and discover the ladder is rickety and the attic an oppressive, stuffy room in need of fresh air. When you do this you can be sure you are busy with the right things. Because the past is stale, it doesn’t have much meaning.

We tend to think of the past as being below us but actually it’s above us. It’s above us, because it’s the area that prevents us from seeing the space, from seeing infinity. It’s like a silence hanging over us we don’t dare to approach because it seems so musty. This is then your future – or so you see it – and therefore you’ve no idea how your real future could be.

"Is this my future?” In this way you imagine something and it’s an oppressing musty scenario but it’s not reality.

When you descend into your thoughts – or rise up into your thoughts, this is how I have to put it – you enter into a stale situation, “Well, is this it, I can’t understand it, do I have to live with this, is this my future?” In this way you imagine something and it’s an oppressing musty scenario but it’s not reality.

I’m talking about another future

If a person could see the Divinity in the future he would be able to see a totally different future. People often paint their futures in very sombre colours, they sketch something that actually frightens them, they imagine disasters and impossible situations they would like to avoid, including all kinds of wars and cruelties that, of course, exist and will continue to exist, but they put such an emphasis on these things that they don’t dare to look at life anymore, at a life that can be much broader and more beautiful.

I am talking about an infinity of energies coming to the fore and already active on this Earth. Due to these energies young people are being born with completely different ideas, with the result that life will evolve incredibly quickly.

I’m talking about another future. I am not talking about bleak thoughts people may have, nor about gloomy philosophies. I’m not talking about the mind that constructs a house and says, “Look, this is mine.” No, I am talking about an infinity of energies coming to the fore and already active on this Earth. Due to these energies young people are being born with completely different ideas and a completely different understanding of things, with the result that life will evolve incredibly quickly.

You’ll see, the following twenty years from now will go by so quickly it will nearly drive you mad, so to speak. You are caught up in a whirlwind from which you will barely escape. It will be difficult, so don’t be taken by surprise, you’ve been warned; and yet you’ll experience many things in your life.

Know that renewal is being given a chance here on this Earth. In the past the Earth underwent a period of deceleration and now it is taking a crash course. Thus, something moving along at a heady speed whereby people will change tremendously and some unsettling things will again occur, but nothing terrible. So don’t imagine it will be something dreadful.

In the coming years, the first twenty years, you will be able to learn all kinds of interesting things. You will experience it because each of you, dear readers, has a part to play in this. You will be confronted with challenges that will make you exclaim, “How is it possible?”

Renewal is being given a chance here on this Earth. In the past the Earth underwent a period of deceleration and now it is taking a crash course.
